How do I wear and care for my cuff?Updated 9 months ago
Our cuffs are delicate by design and require special care to ensure they stay beautiful and last for years to come. Here are some tips on how to care for your cuffs:
Wearing Your Cuffs
- Rotate your wrist so that your thumb is facing up, exposing the narrowest part of your wrist.
- Place the opening of the cuff underneath your wrist, pushing gently onto the wrist.
- Lightly rotate the cuff opening over your bone and onto your wrist.
- Rotate your cuff so it's sitting flat and secure. Avoid moulding the cuff to fit a larger part of your arm or another body part.
- Reverse the above steps to remove the cuff from your wrist.
- Avoid wearing them during strenuous exercise or activities that can cause the cuff to break if pressure is applied.
- Store and wear your cuffs with care, as they can easily become scratched. Avoid storing them with other jewellery items that may rub against them and cause damage.
Cleaning Your Cuffs
- After wearing your cuffs, wipe them gently with a soft cloth to remove any body oils or residue.
- Clean your cuffs gently with a small amount of mild washing liquid and warm water. Avoid using harsh detergents or chemicals that can damage the plating.
- Dry your cuffs with a soft cloth and lay them flat on a towel to air dry.
- Keep in mind that cuffs should avoid being cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner, as this can damage the plating and may result in cracking.
Pieces that are worn or cared for incorrectly are not covered under the by charlotte warranty.
