Your Perfect FitUpdated 7 hours ago

Jewellery should be a joy to wear, and not a source of worry. At By Charlotte, we believe a flawless design deserves a flawless fit. Below is our guide to help you choose with confidence, whether you’re shopping for yourself or gifting someone important.

A ring that’s too loose can slip off. One that’s too tight can become uncomfortable or even distort over time. The “right” size slips on with gentle resistance, glides over your knuckle, and feels secure on your finger. Also, finger size isn’t static. Temperature, time of day, and even seasons can cause changes.

  • Measure multiple times. Slight differences in how tight you wrap or where you mark can shift the size.
  • Consider the bandwidth. Thicker rings may feel tighter; go up a half size if in doubt.
  • Check knuckle vs base. If your knuckle is much bigger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size between.
  • Account for daily fluctuations. If you live in varied climates or wear your ring during the heat, allow for slight expansion.
  • Need help? Our team is always ready to assist if you’re unsure or want to verify before ordering.

While rings tend to need the most adjustment, here’s a quick note on other types:

  • Bracelets & Bangles: Use a soft measuring tape or string around your wrist’s widest point. Add 5–10 mm for a comfortable fit (adjust depending on desired tightness).
  • Necklaces & Chains: Think about how your necklace will drape—collar, princess, opera length. You can test by draping a similar chain you own to see the fall and length.

We don’t just design beautiful jewellery, we want you to wear it fully and fearlessly. Our sizing guide is here to support you. If ever in doubt, reach out. We’ll walk you through everything with warmth, precision, and the care that defines By Charlotte.
