Can I swim or shower in my jewellery?Updated 9 months ago
We do not recommend exposing your jewellery to water for multiple reasons. Not only can the water erode and damage the plating of your piece (sterling silver or vermeil gold) but by design our jewellery is still quite fine and delicate, it will break if force is applied. Crystals, in particular, will dull if exposed to chlorine or salt water.
Also, it is within the nature of gold-plated jewellery to occasionally tarnish. This can be a reaction to skin acidity, humidity, water, being under direct sunlight for long periods, perfume or being in contact with cosmetics. Any solid gold jewellery should be able to withstand the elements, however, by design these are still fine pieces and can break if caught in your swimmers or your hair when doing either of these activities.
by charlotte pieces that are damaged as a result of incorrect wear are not covered under our warranty.
